Book Review: Blue Bloods

— About the Book —

Schuyler Van Alen has never fit in at Duchesne, her prestigious New York City private school. She prefers baggy, vintage clothes to the Prada and pearls worn by her classmates. But when she turns fifteen, Schuyler’s life changes dramatically. The death of a popular schoolmate haunts her in unexpected ways. And strangest of all, Jack Force, the most popular boy in school, is showing a sudden interest in her.

Once an outcast, Schuyler is thrust into Manhattan’s most exclusive social circle. Its members are the powerful, the wealthy, and – as Schuyler soon discovers – the unhuman. They are Blue Bloods, an ancient group of vampires, and for centuries they’ve been invincible. Now something is preying on this elite group, and Schuyler wants to find out the truth. But is she the most vulnerable of them all?

— Book Review —

Done with Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz.   If you’re a fan of history and vampire you’ll really love this book. If you appreciate reading history it’s perfect for you.

I myself liked this book a lot for me it has a classy story, I was amazed how the author put history in that book. Some of the names of places there are really patterned on the original place. I really like the twists of the story! It’s really good I like how she describe Blue Bloods. It’s really in a category and all. I appreciate the use of French words for me it’s really cool. At first the flow of the story is confusing but if you read it seriously you’ll find it good. I find it that way though. And when I read the last past part of the story I really craved for more. You’ll gonna ask yourself why is it entitled Blue Bloods? What really are they? (although we know it’s about vampires because of the cover but the right thing is what about them?)

It’s really cool how the author relate things, and how she played on the history and twists. It’s pretty amazing actually. I was really thinking if those places are true, because I think there’s really a place like that and then when I read the last part, I was like “Oh! there is really a place like that somehow”. One more thing is, I love how she described the vampires there, it’s really classy!

I hope you guys find this book interesting too. For me it’s really awesome, and I actually react on every twists. I can say I love this book, try and read this and find out what I’m saying here.

Good luck and enjoy! 🙂

Agree! I also liked the historical references 🙂 plus, the thing that makes Blue Bloods stand out from other vampire books is the unique history of how they came to be. 🙂
